Plans for Term 3
I’ve made an announcement to the Brandt Lab mailing list, and aiming for a Monday release for the first Hymn of the Week.
It’s hard to pin down, but there’s something about the coronavirus situation which seems to be eating away at me and my family. Filling in a survey yesterday for the government’s Active Kids voucher scheme crystallised it for me with the phrase: Everything requires constant effort. I know it’s a sign of depression. I know it makes sense with the extra anxiety going around. I feel it especially with this project. I know it’s simple, and I just have to start, but getting going is difficult. Every sort of doubt and fear surfaces, even though I can knock them down, they are still coming, one after another.
There are a few other recording projects I would like to tackle – Tapescripts for Latin by the Natural Method is one. More recordings of the Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary is another. A weekly reading of the Sunday’s gospel in Latin would be fantastic – especially along with the illustrations from Jerome Nadal’s 16th century book. Hopefully I can get the ball rolling and all these will follow – or you can do them!
Prayers for me and my family would be great.
